deathwatch primaris kill team

Subscribe to BoLS Prime. Thanks to Special Issue Ammunition, Mission Tactics and a vast array of Stratagems, each unit is more than capable of tackling a range of threats. Though that image seems less…elite to me, and more like a bunch of hooting and hollering folks piling into the bed of a truck, and that’s probably because the Repulsor is the anti-grav equivalent of a Monster Truck.

You’d think that a Watch Captain might have access to different gear than a normal  captain–but either way, it still means that you can fill out your HQ slots with Primaris Marines. Go AD FREE today.

You have 1 leader, 3 specialists, and only 1 guy left over. Primaris Marines are doing well in the Deathwatch. 12.

Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. I have also had a chance to play against DG, GSC, and AdMech. Because the Corvus Blackstar is tiny normal boring marines only: Why it can transport Bikers and Terminators but not Marines is beyond me. Primaris Intercessors have a 15” rapid fire range. Come take a look at the brand new Primaris Watch Captain. 30” Rapid Fire 1 Ap -1 Str 4 guns.

I might try 1 Gunner as a Vet w/ Frag Cannon but I need to drop the Carbine for a Knife on the last reiver to get the points.

The Deathwatch are one of the most versatile armies in Warhammer 40,000. And honestly that’s probably the way to go with these guys–the Repulsor is still not my favorite looking vehicle ever, but if you want a way to get your elite units across the battlefield, it’s your only option.

I don't think running a primaris marine mini as a deathwatch veteran is a good idea if you have intercessors in the same killteam, it will only cause confusion.. i also kitbashed a frag cannon onto my primaris mini so it shouldnt be that confusing. I am working on a kill team and can't decide if I want them to be DW or SM. I think only the Reiver Sgt can have blade and carbine. I'd also ditch the power sword on the sergeant, he can take a chainsword which is free and the 2 points for the power sword are better spent giving him a bolt rifle as well so he can shoot as well as fight.

Still worth it to field the old guard? You can have three in addition to the Leader and I can only see two in your list. I'm waiting on my rule book; so, i thought only 3 specialists total. All normal Reivers can only have blade and pistol (18pts without grapnel) or carbine and pistol (20pts without grapnel). A plasma sniper is absurd imo, dw frag canons are insane, etc. A subreddit dedicated to Warhammer 40000 specialist game, Kill Team.

Primaris Marines are doing well in the Deathwatch. You seem to be missing a specialist.

All the new Primaris/Dark Imperium toys show up–including the Redemptor Dreadnought and the Repulsor, both of which mean you can take an all new-school marine army in your Deathwatch. What do you think? I just like using primaris in 40k because the scale if so off with the old marines.

As we saw in our Table of Contents, there are Primaris Librarians and Chaplains here, as well as a Primaris Apothecary (though I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those fielded ever and doubt they actually exist).

The Deathwatch Veteran is the only Deathwatch-exclusive datasheet in Kill Team (other than the Watch Captain).

The DW version has been working well and is fun. My only concern would be losing out on heavy weapons. Despite Kill Team being a close ranged affair, this is a pistol first and foremost - Carbine Reivers have no reason to use it over their main gun, as there are range penalties and two AP0 shots are better than a single AP-1 shot, especially with the Flesh Wound mechanic.

Im concerned about low model count but idk, this is my first attempt at 40k and Kill Team.

On its own, it’s enough to give you plenty of room to build the Kill Team you want to play, but these aren’t your only tricks.

Primaris Reivers offer Deathwatch kill teams an aggressive answer to enemy snipers or other long-range threats, as their wargear enables them to traverse even the … It’s going to make Primaris quite good–and the Deathwatch can take an army that is entirely outfitted with Primaris marines and their accompanying technology. i could probably kitbash a plasma sniper together and another frag cannon guy. The Deathwatch’s Ability to mix and match Primaris Intercessors is very strong. It’s an ablative wound on every model. Five models is about average for a Deathwatch kill team I think, it's a struggle to get any more in without skimping heavily on wargear. Can they both get along like two mismatched cops, forced to partner together by a chief that just wants them to stop causing such a headache?
