Love the Furs. They crammed all of their hits plus a new song into a wonderful set. I have been a fan of The Psychedelic Furs since the 80s so it was great to see them in person. Both James and the Psychedelic Furs were fantastic on Wed. Aug 7th at The Greek. THE FANS WERE ENGAGED AND IN 'HEAVEN'.
The venu was a perfect size for seeing a band you love. Love his vocals and moves - he's still got it! Sonics from the balcony level were bass heavy and vocals punched way high, which unfortunately highlighted pitchyness at times. He sang all of their great songs and was totally "into it" -- it was like being transported back in time 35 years. I know the logic is that the venues can get more people in that way, however, when you're talking about bands who came to prominence in the 1980s, you have to figure the attendees will be in their 40s and 50s and three hours of standing is a bit much. Seen the Furs before and they put on an EXCELLENT show, so were ready to be spoiled. Sax player was in smoking hot form and featured often, as well he should. The moves, the strut, and along with another British band James who never disappoint this was a quality night.

James was solid though only played about 20% oldies/ hits. Great venue with room to dance! Richard Butler performed great as always.

The sound was horrible, not sure what was going on. My one complaint is the trend toward standing-room only venues. They always sound amazing live!

Tim Booth occupies the stage like a Michael Stipe/Thom Yorke hybrid; never still, always present. I got very lucky at the front. The band was amazing and sounded great. The Psychedelic Furs is not due to play near your location currently - but they are scheduled to play 9 concerts across 3 countries in 2020-2021.
