________________________________________________________________. The story is cute and the game is anthropomorphized well. I have read other Minecraft books befor, and none were even CLOSE to being as good. Unable to add item to List. Spoiler warning! After reading it through, I'm very happy I selected this book out of a sea of choices to read to my son, because it carries lessons both pragmatic and profound for a young person, while being set in a world that my boy is deeply engaged with already and hopefully will allow him to fully digest the moral of each chapter without having to become mired in unfamiliar but superfluous detail. Washed up on a beach, the lone castaway looks around the shore. As it turns out, I ended up reading it through myself while my son and I are still halfway through. I found the descriptive language that was used more resembled what you'd find in a gory/horror novel. I understand Mrs. Dyers' (1 star) and AH's (2 star) points, but really this book was a absolute find.

If I'm honest I'd not even read an adult book by this author who doesn't write in a way that absorbs you into the book. Dad was a dragon slayer. Intrigued I started to read it yesterday when he was out with his girlfriend, and I have to say it's a great book. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. The game is child friendly but this book definitely is not.
