We were recommended this restaurant (which it clearly is and not a pub) from a good friend and thoroughly enjoyed our birthday celebration at the Seabirds. We sat in the bar as there was a large noisy party in the restaurant. Definately lived up to its name ("special") with a full sized ugly stinky crab on my plate, new potatoes which resembled a Lama's undercarriage and a salad so underdressed that it would have qualified for the Playboy...Mag. My only complaint is that we went for Sunday lunch, and there was only one vegetarian option on the menu (spinach and ricotta tortelloni) - it would have been nice to have a choice. No salmon or smoked fish to add flavour. No Yorkshire beers on hand pump.
